Danish university inaugurates the most northerly research station in Greenland

If the weather north of the polar circle permits, the world’s newest and most northerly research station of its kind – the Villum Research Station – will be inaugurated on 2 March by Aarhus University, Denmark. One and a half years after the first sod was turned by Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, the Villum Research Station is ready to create an advanced platform and research infrastructure that will provide scientists from all over the world – cutting across different research disciplines – with the best possibilities for studying climate change and its effects in the High Arctic.
