2016 Arctic Inspiration Prize
2016 Arctic Inspiration Prize
The Arctic Inspiration Prize recognizes and promotes the extraordinary contribution made by teams in the gathering of Arctic knowledge and their plans to implement this knowledge to real world applications for the benefit of the Canadian Arctic, Arctic Peoples and therefore Canada as a whole. The $1 million CAD Arctic Inspiration Prize is awarded annually. There are five equally important pillars that contribute to its ongoing success: the $1 million annual prize money, the teams who apply for and win the Prize, the distinguished Selection Committee and our remarkable, engaged Partners and Ambassadors.
The fifth annual Arctic Inspiration Prize Award Ceremony will be held on the evening of Thursday, 8 December 2016 at the Winnipeg Centennial Concert Hall. In the presence of His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, the Governor General of Canada, please join co-hosts Canadian Olympian Clara Hughes and Andrea Brazeau of Nunavik for an exciting evening featuring a performance of Vincent Ho’s Arctic Symphony by the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra in collaboration with the Nunavut Sivuniksavut students. Admission is included with ASM registration and transportation will be provided. This event will be open to the public. Additional tickets are available at the WSO box office.
