Congratulations to Tonya Burgers, the Poster to Publication winner of the Marine category at this year's ArcticNet conference for "Distinguishing physical and biological controls on the carbon dynamics in Nares Strait".

Tonya is a PhD student at CEOS who also received the 2019 V.E. Barber Memorial Fellowship in Arctic Research.  Tonya investigates specific biogeochemical processes that affect the cycling of inorganic carbon, such as primary production, freshwater inputs, and the advection of Pacific and Atlantic water masses through the Arctic Ocean.
