The Super Puma helicopter dropped myself and 6 others aboard the RV Lance on 30 April to kick off the start of leg 4 of the N-ICE2015 project. We seamlessly joined an active ship of scientists who were finally off to the races with sampling starting to follow a smooth schedule on a floe they had spent the last weeks setting up in the previous leg.
