Prof. Marit-Solveig Seidenkrantz has together with Drs. Christof Pearce and Katrine Juul Andresen from the Department of Geoscience, and Prof. Søren Rysgaard from the Arctic Research Centre, Department of Biology, received a research grant of DKK 6,183,661 from the Independent Research Fund Denmark to carry out the project: “The NE Greenland shelf – a blank spot on the map (GreenShelf)”.

The Danish Agency for Science and Higher Education invites interested researchers to apply for funding for new, international collaboration. The 2020 call for International Network Programme is open, with an application deadline of 12th May 2020 at 12 noon.

The course will give you insight into and understanding of the most important physical and chemical parameters e.g. light availability, nutrients, salinity, inorganic and organic carbon dynamics and temperature fluctuations relevant for the structure and function of Arctic sea ice ecosystem.

One of the positions is a Canada Research Chair (Tier 2), at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor, in Arctic Ice and Marine System Science, and the other is an Assistant/Associate/Full Professor in Arctic Climate Modelling.
